Sleeping Beauty

I have decided to re-look at some of the Classic stories from when I was a child including Sleeping Beauty. This is an Indian Sleeping Beauty that I have drawn.

Willow

I really love strong female leads - that is why Studio Ghibli is such an inspiration. I drew Willow an expert fencer. She is strong, wilful, playful but knows when to focus too. I would not mess with her...

Wobble

I found an old drawing which was based on my daughter Matilda. This character's name was Coco.
She loved doing things that were naughty, messy, dangerous and generally caused havoc!

Book near completion

It has been a busy time. I am trying to get my posters all finished and ready for print. I'm buying frames (most of which got broken en-route first time around). I have also finished book 3 - which feels like my best yet. Now I need to find an agent.

Violet

I have updated this blog with more images which are better than my previous. I think these are an improvement.

Babies on the brain

I have been working on greeting card ideas. Here are some baby 'congratulation' card sketches and ideas. I welcome comments, thoughts and ideas!

Little Blue Pru

There was a little girl called Pru,
Who woke up one day the colour blue,
As hard as she tried,
Her skin was died,
and there was very little she could do.

Happy Halloween

I hope you all have a fun evening...

Little sea boy

Sorry about the poor quality shot - but I am on the road...

Little people

I found a little woman climbing my notebook. She did not notice me thank goodness so I got a good shot.

Uh oh

Had some fun with the letter 'O'...

Sadness

When my second was born I remember how sad Matilda became.. this drawing was reflecting her sadness at being alone when I was not able to come and play. Makes my heart break thinking about it.

Lingerie cards

Some time ago I designed a range of greeting cards which were a little risqué - but fun too. I adore 1950's style pants with all the lace, ribbons and sexiness that go with them.

Eyes glasses

I was having some fun with a character on a train and what sort of expressions she might have when talking to a friend.

Pretty collage

I used a mixture of old paper and photographs with ink and card to create these images. These are zoom-ins of the main image.
