Waiter

My brother called and asked my to sketch a 'fashion' illustration style butler with a tray. This drawing was done to see if it was the right idea - and he ended up using it lines and all!!

Mermaids

Here is a character who I am developing a story for. I took a little picture of this morning.

Harold is been in the dressing up box again

My cat Harold (my first picture book in the making) is getting up to all sorts...

Look who I found eating the macaroons!!!

I opened up the dolls house this morning and found a strange little mouse trying to steal the macaroons.
He did say sorry however, so I said he could stay...

Hazards of painting

I decided to paint two huge (A0) canvases for the girls rooms. Matilda's room is quite girly and pink with birds flying about. While Georgia's room has space invaders and is a great sea blue (more photos to follow). I wanted them to have their own stamp for their rooms - quite literally!

Birthday Card

This was a birthday card for Greg. I hoped he liked it. I used Letra-set for all the small tiny stars and gold ink to get the letters to really shine properly.

Vintage wall paper

I loooooove this old vintage sample of wallpaper I found on the internet. It is rather twee but fabulous. I could have a whole bedroom like this contrasted with some seriously great piece of neon strip lighting...

Tulips

A card I drew for someone to say a huge thank you.... Flowers always work I think.

Clay model

I haven't blogged in a while so now I am in overdrive!
Here is a first attempt of making a 3D model of my characters for my book. Once they had dried an arm and leg fell off!

A present for Lois

Birthday Present

A customised bag for my niece's birthday.  I found this great canvas bag at Claire's http://www.claires.co.uk/dotty-for-spots-across-body-bag/bags-&-purses/shop/fcp-product/13986

And then I cut out felt and sewed it in! Easy!
